It is surreal what we are living right now, it’s like from a movie. I truly believe the Universe is sending us a very clear message.
We need to detox, from our stressful lives and our materialistic priorities. These are awakening times. From Kobe Bryant sudden passing, the world started to have an urge to enjoy the present and more importantly our loved ones. We definitely cannot predict the future. The coronavirus crisis is a living proof of how unexpected life can be. This situation has touched every single human being on Earth. Is a 100% on us how we want to live it and take responsibility of our own actions. Without judgement, we are really showing what we are made of, with our community but most importantly with ourselves.
I read somewhere that fear can bring out the best or the worst in people. In my case in particular, it has helped me realize I need to slow down, we are so rushed all the time to do things, work, do do and do, we often forget we live with other human beings, called it family, neighbors or community. These days, I have taken a (forced) time off to enjoy my kids, I have learned so much from them in these couple of days. I didn’t know they were already learning so many things at school and how capable they are to adapt to new situations. Even though my work has flexible hours and I am most afternoons with them, I am still discovering new things. I can’t imagine what a discovery phase this can be for parents that work full time. This is also happening in my other relationships, I now have the time to connect more (via FaceTime) with my family and friends. “I never had time for this”. Even with my husband, we have been reducing our “phone time” which I believe is the worse epidemic, and enjoyed quiet time or talk and listen more each other. Because of our busy schedules, we used to find ourselves working every night. Not anymore. This sense of togetherness is connecting us in a deeper way for better or for worse. You decide which one it can be.
There is no doubt the economic uncertainty is a reality that is affecting us all. Some more than others. No one knows how long this is going to take, but we all know this shall pass. Let’s try to keep ourselves creative and find new ways to make our business grow or at least be super ready for when everything passes. I know is easier said than done, but we have to stay positive and take this time to do all the things we couldn’t do before and make our business more productive. You can even want to take it to next level and donate, help or support the more vulnerable institutions, like health providers and small business owners.
You know me, I am naturally a very positive person, if you are not, I don't judge you, but I invite you to at least do a mental cleansing and reset your mind for the new times ahead, take care of your own self. If you are in a very difficult situation because of the coronavirus crisis and understandably find it difficult to see the glass half full, focus on appreciating. Appreciate your health, your family, your job, whatever you have to be grateful for and stay in that mindset. Sooner or later this all shall pass and you certainly want to have evolved and be a better person prepared for a new beginning. Time is always a luxury, now that we have that luxury, let’s use it wisely.
Talk to you soon and stay positive, let’s send good energy to the situation and let’s make it go fast.
Stay safe everyone,
Diana
